Mr. Sigel joined Todobebé in 2008 as the Vice President of Sales. In this capacity, Mr. Sigel is responsible for leading the development of integrated multi-media advertising partnerships that help consumer brands to expand reach and purchasing among Hispanic families.
Michael Sigel brings more than 17 years of experience as a sales professional, an entrepreneur, and a marketer of emerging growth brands in the food, retail, and baby products industries. He specializes in driving brand growth in mid sized companies employing strategies to effectively reach new markets. Before joining Todobebé, Mr. Sigel served as the Vice President of Marketing for Wisconsin Cheese Group, a leading Hispanic & Specialty Cheese manufacturer and marketer of the El Viajero and Wisconsin Farms Brands. At Wisconsin Cheese Group, Mr. Sigel was on the front lines of Hispanic Marketing, employing winning strategies to different levels of acculturation in a variety of trade channels.
Prior to joining Wisconsin Cheese Group in early 2003, Mr. Sigel was the founder and President of Retail Runner, Inc., a provider of retail merchandising and intelligence solutions to food & consumer product companies. In this role, Mr. Sigel built the Retail Runner brand and deployed the company’s products among Fortune 100 (and smaller) companies including Nabisco, J.M. Smucker Company, Hillshire Farms & Kahn, General Mills, Pillsbury and more. Mr. Sigel has an expertise in retail merchandising and employing this knowledge to help build brands store by store.
In the early 1990’s, Mr. Sigel played a key role in launching Growing Healthy Frozen Baby Food and penetrating a category rooted in decades of old paradigms. Mr. Sigel employed grass roots marketing strategies to help Growing Healthy capture significant market share, gain National recognition and, in some ways, forever change the face of the US baby food industry.
Mr. Sigel holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and resides in Minnetonka, MN with his wife Melissa and two sons.
